Wish's Debut CD - "Full"
"…Inspired by the powerful and progressive rock of King Crimson, Tool, Levin, Bozzio and Stevens, the lads poured their sweat and muscle into these blistering, yet elegant rockscapes.... written in an asbestos bunker left behind after ww2, Eric, lee and Ian, held their breath has they dived under the oceans of time , their own limitations, and love itself to wring together these songs of hope, fear and redemption..."
Eric Strand, Lee Howard, and Ian Franklin Wilkerson came together to write the soundtrack of the infamous performance art installation: The Orgasmatron, 5.31.02. The Orgasmatron was a healing celebration of the erotic and the holy, the spiritual and the lustful...a play in gratitude to the divine inspiration of the orgasm...
WISH is an experimental power rock trio whose origins lie in improvisation. The band took a series of home studio recorded jam sessions and morphed them into an explosive live studio album. After a series of jam sessions, they pulled and pieced all the best of the spontaneity together and arranged a general outline for the songs. Once the free parameters had been set, they went into the studio to paint on the canvas they had spawned and recorded the album "Full." The Album was recorded and mixed by Roger Tschan at Grizzly Studios in Petaluma, CA.
"Full" was released in 2002. Grown and Cultivated in Santa Rosa, CA, WISH fueled Ian Franklin’s passion to continue pursuing a career in music. His experiences recording and performing with the power trio inspired him to turn the corner from the acoustic duet known as IF (Ian Franklin & Frank Sanders) and develop a new band that integrated the intensity and musicianship of a power trio with the melodic rootsy songmanship of an acoustic duet. It was the taste of raw energy he experienced with WISH that motivated Ian to manifest the acoustic sounds and songwriting of IF into the full-fledged funk and groove-rock ensemble, Infinite Frequency.
