|
Ian Franklin's debut E.P., "Step By Step," due out May 12, 2011.
Step By Step comes as a career high at the end of a near-decade of non-stop, whirlwind and frenetic coast-to-coast musical endeavors and evolution that have both educated and matured the young artist into a multi-faceted musical road warriorepreneur.
The epic journey, from graduating the Berklee College of Music with Bachelor Degrees in both Music Therapy and Songwriting; forming, recording and performing with the lauded Boston-based jazz-funk/groove-rock band Infinite Frequency; touring the United States and California several times over and then establishing his San Francisco-based Music Therapy practice, Step by Step is Ian’s homecoming, ready again to carry him aloft.

Just like the underlying theme of the album What If…, the idea behind the band Infinite Frequency is collaboration; a collective of members and their inspirations, aspirations and souls all coming together. The vision behind Infinite Frequency's sound is to invite the masses into sharing a unified direction, a reformation of the way we live; the album ultimately calls for social change. Wish's Debut CD, "Full"
Released in 2002
|
Grown and Cultivated in Santa Rosa, CA, WISH is an experimental power rock trio whose origins lie in improvisation. The band took a series of home studio recorded jam sessions and morphed them into an explosive live studio album. After a series of jam sessions, they pulled and pieced all the best of the spontaneity together and arranged a general outline for the songs. Once the free parameters had been set, they went into the studio to paint on the canvas they had spawned and recorded the album "Full." The CD was recorded and mixed by Roger Tschan at Grizzly Studios in Petaluma, CA, and released in 2002.
"…Inspired by the powerful and progressive rock of King Crimson, Tool, Levin, Bozzio and Stevens, the lads poured their sweat and muscle into these blistering, yet elegant rockscapes.... written in an asbestos bunker left behind after ww2, Eric, lee and Ian, held their breath has they dived under the oceans of time , their own limitations, and love itself to wring together these songs of hope, fear and redemption..."
